>>132309I live on a 20 acre piece of land, and like to throw light at night, we have had problems with people stealing gas from the school next door, if they decide to start poking around my property I am going to be ready for them with 480 lumens of blinding light and a shotgun.
Instead of buying a million different cheap ass lights for a million different uses, I bought two lights that both use cr123's that I use for everything.
Ill have you know that none of my lights are stuck in full brightness mode and I can turn them down to GREATLY increase runtimes for the task at hand. There are much more expensive and brighter lights on the market, I've invested about 150 bucks getting this light, 4 sets of batteries for it and a universal battery charger that can charge anything that fits in it.
I don't think spending roughly the same on a system that only runs on AA's makes much sense.
Even if I was backpacking and not building this system around motorcycle camping I would still probbably make mostly the same purchasing decisions.
Pic is of my sunwayman m11r, Yeah I'm a flashlight fag and I am willing to get multiple battery sizes and types because I am confident in their reliability and I have a universal way to charge any battery types I am likely to encounter.
