What's better for killing stumps, triclopyr (Bayer's Brush Killer) or glyphosate (Roundup)? Any other recommendations?

Instead of holes I generally make gashes and partial shaves with a hatchet along the sides and that exposes a lot of cambium to soak up whatever killer I'm using and take it to the roots.

Triclopyr or any of the retail available granulated stump killers will work fine.

Don't bother with glyphosate, 2-4D, trimec, or other lawn grade herbicides.

Stump grinders are pretty cheap to rent.

Also literally billions of gallons of diesel are spilled on the ground accidentally every year and I don't see barren wastes everywhere, you're grossly overexaggerating its damage.

Or you could go the easy route
>mix up 5lbs of Rocket Candy
>let it mix and boil out the water while you drill a bunch of holes in the stump
>once it's done take the (still hot and liquid) mix and dump it into the holes
>let it dry and cool
>light it on fire
The entire process should take about 2-3 hours and the stump should burn for a good while after.
