Christ I wish I were there OP. I love schnitzel chicken-of-the-woods batter dipped and deep fried. Yes, that is CotW Don't eat older stuff, that looks off in any way, it may have bacteria in it that can make you sick. Same goes with all fungi.

The ones in my photo are pretty shit to be honest because they grew around grasses and have stems embedded into them.
Because I'm a nice guy I will give you the exact co-ordinates where I found them (I always mark my find locations)

OP here, More IDs obviously not going to eat them but I would like to find out what they are.

To confirm the chicken of the woods is I have is the Cinniabarus variant which make sense since it was found at the bottom of a dead tree stump.
