>>1324407Yes they are good, very much so indeed. Had one for years, you can fell trees with that fucker if you maintain it somewhat well. Take a belt grinder or file to the edge and make it really sharp, it comes somewhat dull from the factory. It will rust if you don't clean and dry it properly, so don't let it lie around soaked in mud (like I did, kek). Nothing a grinder couldn't fix though, that thing is sturdy as fuck.
As for the handle, you could maybe break it if you really set for it. Out of all the experience I have with it and the reviews I read before buying it, only a hand full of people managed to break it, either because of extreme uses or because of a Monday product (there's faulty ones in every industry, no need to freak out).
The handle has a shiny smooth finish on it that I'm personally not a big fan of. It's uncomfortable to grip when working over long time and gives me blisters. Easily fixed by sanding the thing and giving it some nice soaks in linseed oil. But wait, there's more! If you actually manage to break this fucker, you can simply unscrew it, put in a stick and there you go, improvised handle. You can also use this to make a long shovel out of it or utilize it better as an axe. The sky is your limit. Just please don't put your dick in it.
>>1324505It's quite obvious why you would want OPs shovel:
>cheap>lightweight>simple makeup (compared to the 5823487234 parts chinese multitool shovel)>easily repaired and maintained>works as an axe>works as a melee weapon>can use long handle>practically can replace knife and axe if not specifically required otherwise>proven over decades of warfareFor 40 bucks you can't go wrong with this. It's a rugged af piece of utility tool that you can beat the shit out of anything with.
