Then I found out they were a severe trigger for autistic weirdos who absolutely lose their shit even thinking about them. Now I build cairns everywhere, sometimes even out of firewood or other people's trash, which I used to collect and pack out. I'm filled with joy at the idea of an autist running into not only a cairn, but a cairn made of old beer bottles and cans, and just freaking out with impotent rage and kicking it over to feel a tiny bit better.
Build more cairns, knowing that you aren't bothering normal people and are pushing every last button on those weirdos who should stay in mama's basement.
