Steiner Predator and Safari are both very durable and take abuse. Predator series is better for hunting as they provide more contrast for mammals fur versus surrounding foliage. For hiking, the smaller models work well but will have less magnification and field of view. Took 8x22 Safari on many military deployments and Predators on numerous hunts.
