>>1340598I know Colorado is beautiful, but - and this is just my shitty opinion so don't be too upset - I found nothing there that the Great Northwest didn't do better. Texas is the same way; very nice place, but what everyone imagines Texas to be, Montana actually is. If your specific politics, social or economic circumstances, etc. make it better to live in whatever state, that's cool and do what you have to.
All I know is, if I want to go hiking in Western mountains and forests again, I'm not going back to Colorado, I'm going back to Montana or Wyoming. There's more to see, more to do, it's more idyllic, and there's way less bullshit (for now, plenty of legit rich people and old money fucks are buying up huge chunks of land up there, so we'll see how things play out in the next 10 years).
