Btw, the dividing lines vary depending on which demographer you talk to, but here are the generations:
Greatest Generation
Baby Boomers (youngest are over 65)
Generation X
Generation Y (aka millennials)
Generation Z
Boomers were self absorbed, irresponsible, arrogant, and entitled. Millennials are much the same. Oh, and both highly political and intolerant.
Gen X turned out to be self reliant, cynical, optimistic, entrepreneurial, and family-building. Aka more like their grandparents. So far, Gen Z is turning out much the same. Gen X spends a lot of time on nostalgia for its little section of pop culture, since they spent their formative years swamped in baby boomer culture.
