Can we get the Kungsleden thread started again? I'm having finals and I was offline for a week and found the thread 404'd. Anyone who doesn't know what this is about: I'm planning to hike part of the Kungsleden ("King's Trail", Sweden) in September and was looking for someone to go with. Along the way lots of anons posted they were going too. So let's get planning! I'm going the first 2 weeks of September. To keep things organised, please namefag in this thread with your location, the number of people and when you are going.
Belgium - 1 or possibly 2 people - first 2 weeks of September

Bumping with more Kungsleden
Lübeck, Germany (>2 people)
bump we haven't really continued planning because most of us have to look first for internships after the semester and therefore don't know when they have time. I hope we can get serious next week.

As for me, I'm still studying for my finals. If I don't pass, I'll be unable to go, so I haven't really booked any kind of tickets.

I'll possibly be around the area this summer. I tend to go alone though, and far from civilizations. Planned out routes aren't much of a buzz for me. My plan is to hang around between Vänern and Vättern for a while before heading north to Värmland. Then I'll drive to Pajala and head west.

>>134931 well, good luck for your finals!
I too hope it doesn't get too expensive. At least the Euro train ticket will probably cheap, so I only need to get a decent priced flight.
Well, I bought myself a jacked two weeks ago. So I only need a backpack, tent, GPS, matress...

>>135279 also, so far the tour will be less kungsleden and more starting in Abisko and going where it seems nice, enjoying a week without civilisation.

>>135269 are you ok with dutch people? or do you hate dutch people like rest of belgium?
I'm verry interested in doing a trip, I have done a 167km innawoods walking trip before. so i have some experience. i have and would bring my own kit of course.

Looks like we finally have a date: We'll be there in the last July week up to the first week of August. I still need to check the train schedule, but I think we'll start on the 25th July in Berlin, and come back on the 8th of August. We possibly could go first 2 weeks of September, but that would be really pushing it in my schedule, and I'm not sure how it will be in terms of snow in september.

>>135279 >backpack I'd suggest something Osprey, or military surplus if you're tight on money. The USMC ILBE pack is really great. Made by arcteryx, and you can get it for less than 100€ on ebay. It's very similar to the arcteryx bora 85, except a lot cheaper and a lot heavier/sturdier.
>tent Can't help you there, I'm afraid.
>GPS Don't be silly, get a map instead
http://www.amazon.de/Fjällkartan-Abisko-Kebnekaise-Narvik-Bergwanderkarte/dp/9158895035 And a compass, though I don't think it will be necessary in that area.
>matress Just get a cheap 10€ Isomatte

Innawoods lijkt me ook heel interessant, het moet niet persé de Kungsleden zijn. Ben je vrij de eerste 2 weken van september?
>>135388 Unfortunately, I'll be unable to go then. You don't have to move your entire schedule just for me, have fun and remember to post here when you come back!
>>135279 I'm still looking for a one or two person tent myself.
