A nice cool and dry 50,55 in the fall.(For example the same temperature and humidity MAY happen in the spring, but you know the dryness won't last, and the temperature could snap back to full on winter(wet) or OH SHIT IT"S SUMMER LOL at any minute. Fall is more predictable, not to mention the beautiful foliage.

The psychological effects of conditioning, and not-strictly-weather environmental changes are real.

25f with low or no winds is god tier hiking weather. You can crush miles with minimal sweat in just pants and a t shirt. Throw on a shell or fleece if the wind sets in and a puffy if you stop. Light gloves work but aren't required. And it's not cold enough that you have to worry too much about your water freezing. In the teens and single digits my shit likes to freeze up on the descent.

Walk around all day in a flannel and never break a sweat. Sunny but not cooking you to death. Work all day without being tired.

On a related note, what causes the whole hot sun/cold sun thing? Some days you don't even notice the sun, but other days it feels like you're under a torch all day even when temperature/humidity/wind is exactly the same?
