So I’ve heard from several news outlets that Texas passed a law a while back that permitted open sword carry in public (with obvious restrictions in bars and govt. owned establishments.) Is that something Texans see a lot of? I honestly find it hard to believe

if you have studied the sword, lived like a sword (whatever that means) and are 30yo virgin, you may carry the sword, but with carrying the sword comes big responsibility to only use it when really necessary because people will think you're a fag and they will talk shit, yell at you, laugh at you and test your patience, only a true sword master can handle the life of being a sword fighter, do not take the task of sword master lightly.

it's pretty common now, yeah. some theaters have 'no swords' signs, but you can still bring in your falcons so I don't know why you'd also need a sword anyway

Not the anon you are speaking to, but I think you are incorrect. My town has already had 6 duels, and none of them would be considered sword masters.

The truth is, when you need to use a sword to defend yourself or your loved ones, you don't need fancy training. Blades are so intuitive, that a child can easily best an adult. It takes no time at all to master the ancient bushido arts.

Much ado about nothing.

California has some of the most restrictive gun laws in the nation and it's been legal to open carry large blades and swords over there for decades (ironically way longer than the birthplace of the bowie knife). In addition to being autistic, it's just kind of inconvenient to EDC swords.
