I ve never been in Colima, but I'm sure you can find a hat in "el Mercado" just ask for "sombreros o tejanas" they are popular in Mexico, so you will easily find one.
Now, if you really want a recommendation, I will recommend you "tardan" it's a hat store in the cdmx, just in front of the zocalo. I bought the black one there, and it's a very nice hat, it cost me around 60 usd. If you can go there, don't miss the chance, even if you don't buy anything, it's a nice store.
Also, if you look in Colima you are likely to find palm hats, since they are nice for hot climates, but you won't find those in tardan. But in tardan you will find wool hats, I don't think you will find those in the coast.
