I recently upgraded my weather staion. I've always had trouble getting a decent location due to living deep in the woods. I have 60 foot trees all around my property so getting real wind is fairly impossible. I have included a picture of the canopy and my house. The yellow arrow is where I currently mounted it because I wanted to start to get real time data for recording. I can't really get wind data from the north west to north due to my house. I can't mount it on the roof of my garage as nw and n wind will be blocked by the house (2 story)
I'm thinking the best idea would be to mount it in the ground across the driveway from the house. I say this because we live on the west side of a mountain and usually get n to w winds.
