Trying to find groups of people who also want to explore the outdoors in y area but when I google groups I can't find anything(I don't think). I live in CT, so what do?

meetup.com is great but in my area its mostly filled with older couples who want to hike on trails, it kind of sucks for me because i actually want to meet fellow /out/ people who are in my age group

If anyone is around Irvine, CA there are plenty of Hikers who sign up for day hikes. It's a pretty good way to meet new people who may want to do more hiking. Indeed, a good amount of older people, but you sometimes run into younger hikers that are looking for someone to hike with.
