And how many Texans actually own more than an acre or two? 50 acres per person is just an average. The majority of land is probably still in the hands of just a few people, except you can't even walk on it because it's privatized.

It really sucks not having land in Texas. There is no public land to go shooting on. Always stuck having to go to Fudd rule ranges in the DFW area.

Also no public lands to hunt on just boomers with shit loads of land they bought for pennies an acre selling the right to hunt on their land for a few hundred/thousand a season.

OH better yet lets go into the separations of mineral rights from property rights so that these rich boomers could sell off the land they don't want while still drawing money from the mineral rights to it, AND you have to allow any drilling on YOUR land to their mineral rights.

I am a Texan and most people I know (including my family) own land around the state for hunting, fishing, agriculture, etc.

The private lands are definitely not all land developers. It’s a bunch of private ranches and hunting leases.
