winter cause you can see the tracks in the snow and set collars and ambush them easily, its also better for anal with my partner cause the low temp enables us to cool off quickly

Nothing is more comfy to me than hunting and camping in the winter. Barring freezing rain, I always just feel at peace looking out at the treeline and get all nostalgic. I always bring my granddad's thermos and make instant coffee like we used to.

I mostly hunt hogs and my state allows hog hunting all year. Whenever I get tired of pork I'll hunt whatever is in season. I also add variety by fishing

I'm looking to get into hunting this year. I haven't hunted before so I was thinking smol game like squirrel and rabbit would be a good start.

Small game is actually harder to hunt than large game. If you live in the US you should try hunting wild pigs for practice.

Pheasant, Partridge and Duck when they're in season. Wood pigeon all year round.

I used to like taking the odd Woodcock or Snipe but it's getting hard from a conservation stand point.

I also shoot vermin like stoats and foxes as well as corvids if they prove to be a problem.

Smol game hunting is a good way to start. it also builds marksmanship as well as woodsmanship skills. Try going after squirrel first. I always liked using a shotgun and taking shots while they were on the move. Squirrel hunting> Wing shooting.

Different anon but I have about 300 total traps in working order and about another 250 that are broken/rusted shut and awaiting restoration, or are parts donors for the others.

I trap coyote, muskrat, beaver, and occasionally coons and possums. It's a hobby, green pelts in a good year see me break even because I'm too far south to get the really valuable heavy late winter pelts. I suppose the tradeoff is I dont have to dick with blizzards.

And no, none of my traps have a benis. Although I did paint one on my lone livetrap.

Completely unrelated but I never went /out/ during Summers because of the heat and bugs. Went camping with a buddy this Summer and was nothing but women in shorts so short they show all of their ass and crop tops halfway up their bras. I didn't know these type of people went /out/ around here, but apparently it's a popular park with the lake that offers swimming.

I couldn't stand being around people like that every single time I go /out/, but it was nice watching our future society get drunk and spread STDs with a smile on their face.

When I can yeah. Mostly ducks and geese, sometimes doves or small game. Problem is that around here (louisiana) everyone hunts either on land that their family owns, land that they lease, or land owned by their hunting club. And 2 of those are expensive as fuck and pretty much limited to old white guys. I'm lucky enough to have family out in the prairie that lets me hunt there sometimes but i get that opportunity maybe twice a year. If I had my own lease I would hunt every weekend. And I'm too much of a cuck to compete with other hunters on public land.

Always been two seasons in my household. Hunting season and waiting for hunting season. I'll hunt big and small game. Even when my tags are filled I'll go with friends just to hang out in the backwoods and chill around camp.
