>>1355606Wranglers/Rubicons are awesome, but their other models are pretty lame inside and out.
Nothing beats taking the doors and top off and cruising around on a nice sunny day.
Used to take my Wrangler out sand duning in some rough sands too. I'd seen plenty of cars getting towed out or even break their axles, but damnit, a Wrangler never gets so stuck you couldn't dig it out yourself.
I even moved up north with it and got some nice snow days. I remember everyone at work with a car had to wait for the plow, others had to put it in 4 wheel to keep it from slipping, but the Wrangler drove standard no problem like the snow wasn't even there.
Should be noted, old wranglers are light weight and nimble, excellent for mountains and forest. I had a new one, which is more like a tank plowing over whatever.
I lost mine in a car accident tho. Taxi ran a red light and slammed into my side right on the roll cage bar. Vehicles are built strongest in the front end btw, and his Ford explorer got crunched so bad it was leaking every liquid and couldn't turn one of the wheels and had to get towed. My roll cage got bent slightly and I drove it for weeks until the insurance finally checked it and saw the rippled chassis, and you can't fix the chassis so my insurance paid it off and it's sitting in a lot somewhere with fresh tires and a fresh oil change.
Fucking taxis.
It's been in one other crash too. Toyota wtvr rear ended me and looked like someone punched a paper bag. I couldn't even find a scratch.
Highly recommend for overprotective parent's kids too.
