Here where I live, you have only 3 options to go out
Go a clean and secure camp ground, full of city dwellers.
Go to a full of trash, semi secure, and close to the town hill to camp
Go to true nature, with almost no trash, away of civilization, with the risk of encounter cartel members, kidnappers or gasoline thieves.

Kek, I've got a gun, so that's not a problem, but I don't have a tent, just a sleeping bag and a hammock. Going /out/ solo with me shelter is my hold up

Just get a hammock and a tarp with good rope. That's what I always use for camping during the summer in Colorado and Montana.
