I have a Beta LT, it is fantastic.
The rule for A'T is that you should be trying to target 50%-60% retail price on ebay, you can also go for used gear cheaper than that. If you really want something, paying 75% retail price is fine, but paying more than that is a bit much. I think time of year has some effect too if you're patient. (early fall is the time everyone buys light jackets, so it isn't the best time as far as prices go -> buy jackets and coats in summer!)
On the other had, other manufacturers have caught up with A'T in regards to hardshells, there are some Goretex pieces that are about as good for very reasonable prices.
Are you climbing in it, or doing other activities?
