I've found a pretty nice place where I want to go camp out.
My biggest concern is assholes like in the image. Yup, pigs.
Despite being really near a city in the South, apparently there's a healthy wild pig population.
Do they post a pretty big risk? The river near the spot is absolutely pocked with hoof prints from these fuckers getting water.
I can't legally shoot them there, don't own a bow, etc. The place is only accessibly by water, about a four hour paddle one way, or a two-hour wade (too shallow for a kayak or canoe) and float from the other. If I have some sort of real emergency, I'm fucked.
There are others who sometimes camp there -- there is evidence of other camp fires. Someone who fishes there says the pigs fuck off back to the woods in daylight when they see people.
Is knowing that a place is frequented by wild pigs enough to say fuck it, and not camp there?
