>>1358728if you're using a ridgerest or z-lite, yr site selection matters as far as comfort is concerned. rocky or uneven ground can be shitty, but a good, soft site feels amazing. these foam pads are great insulation from the cold ground, too.
the air pads can be really comfy, since they contour to the body better than foam. you can also adjust how firm or mushy the pad is. many are insulated, some better than others.
it's a matter of preference and style. i sleep better on the foam, desu. i'm also the type of person who can sleep on a wood floor with just one blanket.
