There's a nature reserve in the middle of my city. It has a creek as well - the water's pretty stanky but I go kayaking there sometimes.

Philadelphia is a nice city for /out/ surprisingly. We have a huge park system. The best is Wissahickon Valley Park. 2,000+ acres and 50 miles of hiking/biking/horse trails. You can also hike from Wissahickon all the way up to Valley Forge National Park as they are connected.

Another thing I love is that you can drive 45 minutes outside of Philadelphia and you are in the mountains. I really enjoy this region.

I live in portland. We have one of the largest urban forests in the country, but it kinda sucks. i'm in the middle of the big valley, so I have to drive like 40-50 min to get anywhere interesting, but i guess i'm pretty privileged to live here, seeing how some people have to drive hours just to get to woods. Just hate the fucking city.

Albuquerque, NM has a Tram that operates most day hours for most of the year on the bordering mountain. I can park at the bottom end of it, hike 9.5 miles and 4000+ vertical feet to the top of it, and take a one way trip back to the bottom for $15. Pretty good jaunt.

Live in a city in Northwest Pennsylvania called Erie.
Self explanatory we got a lake that looks like a fuckin Ocean
Past that we have a +3,000 acre state park full of different landscapes, hiking trails, ski trails, and beaches

There’s also a shit ton of parks here and since Erie is a rust belt city, a lot of abandoned factories and such for UrbEx including the highschool I went to having 2/3 of it unfinished and abandoned and having miles of underground tunnels (appropriately nicknamed “the catacombs”) for you to check out
