My buddy bought one several years back and as he buys all the latest meme shit, I figured this was just another scam but he brought it over and we were sitting out on my back patio could literally see the mosquitos coming right at us, only for them to do a 180* and nope-the-fuck out of there once they hit the “force field” of repellent generated by the gadget.
I then bought one also and have used it while hunting and neither deer nor turkeys give a fuck about the scent and when camping, I’ll light up my ThermaCell and place it on my cot, then leave the door and windows on the tent _wide open_ for 20-30mins while I go have a final beer and it drives out any bugs that might have snuck into the tent during the day.
And they’re not very expensive, $25 for the basic kit but you might as well buy a resupply pack with more repellant pads and butane bottles.
