I'm buying a decommissioned school bus and turning it into a home, then I'm selling my condo and using the money to make improvements on it. I'm going to drive all over the US and enjoy my life, but there's so many long stretches of land where there's nothing and no one for miles, and if I get stranded somewhere I'm going to need to be able to survive until help comes along or I go find it, if it's something I can't fix myself. I want to be completely self reliant. If I don't go it alone, then I'll become reliant on others which is exactly what I don't want.
