>>1367464>Best source for aquiring whatever it is, the batteries and other required componentsPic related just showed up on the UPS truck today. Bought these from Shenzhen Baiguan Battery Co., Ltd on Alibaba. Price was fair and the guy who replies to their messages did a good job with customer service IMO.
Look into "lithium titanate". Very fast charge and discharge rate and supposedly up to 20 year life expectency. Honestly if they perform half as well as people claim from this technology they'll be a game changer for energy storage (provided weight and space isn't your primary concern....though they're still better than AGM/Lead). I'll need to buy some copper bar now to bus some banks together and do some testing and will report back eventually if one of these threads pops up again after I've done some experimenting. That all said, I put months of research into various lithium battery options and I'd suggest you do the same, any way you slice it it's a big investment and different options have different strengths and drawbacks.
>>1367464>out houseConsider "sawdust toilet". I did without running water for a few years while building up my business and saving for a proper house and it worked fine and composted up well enough for use on fruit trees. Sawdust toilet in the warmer months, in the dead of winter I'd just shit in a box or paper plate and toss it in the wood stove.
Dunno about wells, I've got a dug well and drilled well here. Lehman's catalog has some well pumps if you want to keep it primitive or just have a dug well for backup.
Dunno about Alaska mill but that's been on my wishlist for a while.
