>>1369287>dry flysUsually you want as natural a drift as you can meaning it’s going the same speed as the water. Sometimes people will “skate” their flies to draw a fish’s attention and all that means is pulling the fly just slightly to make it drag across the water
>nymphsYou almost always want them to be dead drifted along the bottom. Same as a dry fly you want it to flow at the same speed as the water.
>wet flysThese have some variability, you can dead drift them, swing them, what ever to feel like
>streamersMostly you want to swing these. That means casting and at a down and across angle pointing down stream. As the streamer flows down and your line gets taught it will start to swing across the water towards your side of the river.
