>>1373059>Is this as good as it gets?dpends on what you mean? Its very scenic, the lake is an awesome recreational spot- the mts have great terrain for skiing (and biking etc..) with usually semi-primo conditions and a long season...
but as far as true wilderness goes it kinda sucks...its crowded as fuck...so many gapers and tourons...the actual "wilderness" has been denuded of top predators and thus its not truly wild...you have to be more concerned about black bears in town than innna woods...its pretty to look at but has been over run by men for centuries...every nook and granny explored and exploited for gold if possible....never get a sense of wild in Tahoe basin.
