>>1373754I'd probably say a couple hundred for tools, if you're on a wooded property - it depends on how much work you want to do yourself. You could potentially get a mobile sawmill and mill it yourself, but it'd probably be cheaper to find a guy with a mill who can work your timber into boards for a nominal fee - honestly I don't see it being much more than a couple grand. I would say it's a much easier use of your time without either a mill or one who has one to go log cabin, but a timber frame has its upsides (namely making more efficient use of the timber you've cut down to make a bigger space) and can also last a good while. That said, it could easily be very expensive if you're buying the pre-fab boards at some store or mill. It'd also cost more money for nails and screws and stuff if you're not willing to do joinery - but that stuff saves on labor. As far as the roof goes - I'm really not sure what it's even made of.
Unfortunately, this stuff can vary depending on what currency you're using, how much you're willing to DIY and stuff, but I'd say a 12x14 could be done, with roof, for about 15,000 maplebux, probably about 10,000-12,000 freedombux - depending on your location and other variables.
