>>138436On what? Democrats have consistently sided with big business and worker exploitation. They sure as hell aren't communists or socialists. They're just a little farther to the left than the Republicans.
As for environmentalism, there are some vocal anti-conservation /k/ posters. I've also encountered many diehard conservationists and environmentalists on /k/, but they seem to represent a minority. I think that their anti-environmentalist tendencies are based off of environmentalism being much more accepted on the left than on the right. They just see Democrats supporting the environment (even though the Democrats are shitty environmentalists that often take the wrong courses of action, but at least they're trying) and conclude that environmentalism must be bad because liberals support it. The Republicans, on the other hand, are absolutely opposed to conservation, reducing pollution, or energy alternatives. It's a pretty shitty situation.
>>138438I don't see too much of a problem with an interest in guns. There are weirdos on /k/ who worship guns and make guns their lifestyle, but most of /k/ are just guys who like to shoot. The military fetishists are worse, I think. The racists and social conservatives are awful too, though the social conservatives aren't as prolific as everyone thinks. In the months preceding the election there were hordes of libertarians on /k/ (though libertarianism is an extremely anti-environmentalist ideology).
