Don't forget bike maintenance stuff. You'll need a pump and something to repair punctures with.
>pots n shit for cookingYou'll only need a single pot if you're going solo. If you're going over the summer there may be fire bans, so take a cheap stove. You can turn a coke can into a metho burner if you're on a budget. Also, chucking a handle on a tin can gives you a free billy pot.
Otherwise, just use common sense when packing. SA has some nice /out/ stuff, so enjoy your trip if you decide to go ahead with it.
