I've been using the $40 Teton Sport Oasis 1100. I honestly can't believe how great this day pack is for 40 bucks. I can't recommend anything else from Teton; only their day packs.

But I've been using mine for 2 years now and it's perfect. I've even managed to strap my Zpacks tent and sleeping pad to the top and bottom to turn this little pack into a 2 day hiking pack.

Just use any generic pack with parts cut off you larper, once you get down to small sizes fabric doesn’t matter too much and unstitching pockets and linings can look clean if you’re not a tard

They are called day packs. When people go hiking there are items that they bring. Sometimes they have to do scramble so it’s nice to be able to use their free hands. Sometimes you don’t want to carry something in your hand for hours and miles. Maybe you should lurk here a little longer before posting.

Both are over 20 but

My tnf litus 22 has done well by me in all kinds of terrain and conditions. I’ve made that thing work and it’s stil in outstanding shape.

My wife uses an REI Trail 25 and that thing has so many little perk features that it’s probably the most versatile pack on the market. It’s also lasted her 4 - 5 years of moderate use.

Unless you hike in the city park and there's vendors every couple miles. You can buy or make a 15L 20l backpack for next to nothing. You put the stuff in your pockets, then flip your jacket over into a little roll. Tie it round your waist. This way the water and food is tight against your body, which gives full ventilation to upper body, doesn’t strain your shoulders and is low profile. I bought a custom cuben fibre daypack before I thought of this, just to flex on you wannabes who think money means everything when it comes to /out/ setups

until the wind picks up and you want to put on your jacket and have to carry all your food and water and whatever.
or if you want to carry 2+ liters of water plus enough food for an actual all day hike.
or if you just want to have a decent lunch halfway through a mellow hike.
and i've never had a daypack impede ventilation of my upper body, strain my shoulders or not be low profile. so i don't know what the fuck you're on about.
