You're totally right on durability, but you need to ruck more of you actually think that ALICE has better weight distribution. While it comes down to personal preference and SOP, there's a reason most people who knew their shit switched to the MOLLE ruck as soon as they could, and that reason wasn't UCP. And for that matter, if they were cool enough, they move even further away from ALICE and to some high speed civi shit.
Won't argue with you on the FILBE, always thought it looked a lot more reminiscent to higher end civi packs, but you'd run into the the same durability issues the MOLLE has. My ruck has been never had any issues durability wise, even after being thrown constantly from FMTV's, other than c-wire holes.
