I might have fucked up. I ordered a bunch of /out/ gear and I need more. I haven't camped in over 15+ years but I'm ready....
Also. What do you actually need on a one day camp trip in 0-20f weather

not OP, but is it possible to stack sleeping bags for the winter?
I have a 35F summer bag and a 0F winter bag, but can I use both for nights where it might drop to -5 or -10F?

or should i get a vapor barrier or some other meme liner instead

Clothes
Food
Cigarette Lighter
Sleeping Bag
Sleeping Mat
Tarp / Tent

It's one night don't overthink it. You don't need a million gadgets and gizmos. You won't die without a $300 knife or axe. You don't need special clothing or freeze dried food. Bring whatever you have on hand at home. Pick up twigs and sticks and shit and light a fire to sit beside and you're golden.

Just bought more stuff. Money isn't an issue and I have more than enough

Anyway what gear is actually needed on a one-two night camping trip at the most. The only thing I'm concerned with and didn't plan effectively is the wood for the camp fire. This place had a ton of trees but I have no idea if it's legal to just chop down a tree out here. Also dead trees are good to burn and no legal issue right...

This isn't in the city BTW
Forrest land where other people go camping and I want to give it a shot. Only problem is I spent so much this better not be a thing with me where I go camping once every few months.

I have tried camping in car before. Basically couldn't fall asleep
Sometime around 1am the weather changed and it got super cold. Didn't have the right supplies at the time and "woke up" every 30-45 min to turn the heater on in the car.
I prefer to try camping but the weather we are getting it's 0-25f at night. I think I'm ready to do this right and yes I have the money for the gear.
No I won't just do this once and give up on camping.

Anyway I do have some concerns
1. Fire wood. Need to learn how to find this
2. Need to figure out how to take a shit in the woods
3. Really worried I won't last camping life because my life is basically city slicker glued to the internet and I can't picture no internet and no computers for a few days.
I don't know if I can do it.

You do something wrong. The whole point of /out is to be out so when you come back to your camp or a car in this case you just eat and fall down like an anchor because you are actually tired as fuck from walking and collecting wood and shit. You may not get tired, you know by siting and watching the river flow. You will be all right!

They're amazing and absolutely worth the price. I bring those every trip until it starts getting sub-freezing. Then I switch over to some even heavier Feathered Friends booties. I haven't slept with cold feet while camping once in the two years I've used them
