What are your rituals while you're /out/? Everyone has some when they are out innawoods. It seems to be part of the territory, whether its a specific comfort item you pack, or a specific thing you do when you're out an about in the wild. I'll start.

The first time I saw Lake Superior was with my family (Wisconsinite), and my dad played Gordon Lightfoot's "Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald" the first family trip we took up to see the big lake they call Gitchee Gumee. I was ten years old, and every time since, I've played that song when I first set eyes upon Superior. The most recent time was when I was taking my brother to tour the University of Minnesota-Duluth when he was considering what college to attend.
