>>1389820This is complete bullshit. The modern instrument record shows about 1.4C of warming since 1900, but that red line is only 0.5C high. And the GISP2 data doesn't reach go all the way to 1900 (nor does the Vostok record go to 2000), so the graphs are spliced together nonsensically. Also, comparing local temperature variation at one site to global temperature variation is misleading as all hell - conditions in Greenland are far from static, whereas global temperatures require a large forcing to change quickly.
For an actual peer-reviewed analysis of paleoclimate rather than Watt's nonsense, I'd recommend Marcott et al, "A Reconstruction of Regional and Global Temperature for the Past 11,300 Years":
