>>1398151It’s fine. You should be more worried about if you’re plugging it in to a 15amp or 20amp outlet. I’m assuming that since it calls for 12ga wire, that it pulls greater than 15 amps. Where you’re planning on plugging it in, do you know if you have a 20 amp outlet, 12 gauge wire in the walls, and a 20 amp circuit in your electrical panel (assuming the snowblower is > 15a). The worst that would happen is that your extension cord would get hot and start on fire - highly unlikely, and since it’s not enclosed in a wall, it’s not really a big deal. If your snowblower is 15a or less, 14ga wire is fine. If it’s 20a, then you should have 12ga wire.
