It's a vertical granite wall, your life being on the line absolutely accounts for the overall impressiveness of the achievement. If it's the most impressive thing of all time is not up to me to say, obviously you need to look at that with a grain of salt.
Running a sub 2h marathon (will eventually happen), winning 7 gold medals at the Olympics, Beijing Usain, and an infinite amount of less known shit are all impressive, but pushing it further will not kill you. But if we have in account risking your life only the stratos jump for example is more impressive imo. One thing I can say for sure, no matter what the barrier being broken, it will never be a 100% consensus.
