Yup its a solid general book. I'd say you should also get some books specific to your region, and specifically focused on your interests

Desert solitaire is a good read about outdoor topics but it’s not an instructional booklet on wilderness survival if that’s what your thinking. If your looking for a book about outdoors skills/survival techniques, OPs book is a pretty god start for that.

I should have also mentioned Ray Mears: Outdoor Survival Handbook. Regardless of the "survival" aspects, it walks you through all the seasons and brings awareness to all kinds of details of the corresponding environmental changes. Very good for tuning in to /out/.

I love books physically but apart from that I hate reading and rereading off screens it's awful imho and distracting besides the fact PDF's are only useful in world of electrical gadgets.
