the forums on mreinfo.com are pretty active. i wouldn't recommend mre's in general. that said, there is an established elder god of mre reviews on youtube already named steve 1989

Cheaper than mountain meals, but less filling and not as tasty. They tend to be high in calorie but nothing beats bringing an extra half kilo of rice for those week-2 week long trips. I always bring nuts, jerkey, and dried fruit as well and Gatorade powder to add to my water for electrolytes.

Me too. I've been looking for cheap, good, and lasts long, for a while. don't think I want mres. Maybe just dehydrate and vacuum seal your own seems pretty good.

Being leaf army I've only had imps, and I'll have to say - they've gotten better, but it's still basically food that failed basic.
