I am a rancher, It's pretty /out/ related as most of my job is on horseback or foot dealing with animals.

Montana. Well what outdoors skills do you have? You can get work on a southern Ranch in New Mexico or Texas being a gunman to kill vermin harassing them. You usually get good pay and can live in a trailer or home on the property and live freely there.

Residential electrician, not really /out/ but I am in the elements all day. I work in northern Alberta so its beautiful, lots of wildlife. Fiance and I go hiking with our dog almost every weekend

I loved that job but when I started college I was torn between two worlds so now I work as a software developer (and love it), but still spend my weekends outdoors and when I go back home I help out buddies from high school on their farms if needed. I'd still like to retire on a sizable patch of land.

I used to work in an industrial warehouse. Not really /out/, but no climate control and frequent trips to an outside area at least kept me kind of exposed to the Texas Gulf climate. Quit because of drama and unemployed now. Would love some kind of /out/ job but I don't really have any skills or a degree. I wouldn't know where to begin.

It's a not bad job, but the paperwork kills your time to walk around the woods as we like to do. You never get a holiday off, 4th of July opening of fishing and opening of hunting season into charismas is booked solid.

I'm a self employed wall and floor tiler and I fucking hate every second of it. I do get out a lot tho to compensate spending my life tiling shitty little bathrooms.

4th year med student going into Emergency Med. Semi-/out/ish, moreso because I'd like to practice in a rural ED. Also poisonings, trauma, burns, bites, hypo/hyperthermia, anaphylaxis, and emergencies in general, are good to be able to handle when one is innawoods.

My dad worked as a field researcher for the Department of Fish and Game and got to wander around the wilderness every day. Sometimes I wish I had followed in his footsteps.

Last year I worked trails for 6-7 months, lived outta tent, had packers bring our food and mail, so far in the woods, barely saw anyone but my crew. Boot never touched pavement or road for 6 months, it was the most enjoyable time in my life.
Now, Forrest Service employee, drive around own gov issued vehicle, in woods all damn day.
Boring, work not hard enough, but if I want that plot of land in the backwoods to begin my hermit self sustaining life I have to put in my time to get the money
