I found the spot we both have pictures of - 40°33'00.2"N 114°51'35.9"W. I was mistaken in calling it Stone Mountain.
As far as the whole E ZED story, the cabin and prospect mine we discovered was just about 30 miles south from Wells and about 10-15 miles northwest of Spruce Mountain. Did there happen to be a mine, well, or curved road near the cabin you found? E ZED was pretty specific on the area in his story, in hopes someone could locate the area. If so, you might have found it. If you ever do go back, email the coords and some pictures to me. It's in the link in my previous post.
