Down sleeping bag, lightweight tunnel tent, pulk, cross country skis and poles, merino wool inner layer, fleece or wool insulation layer, goretex or more "traditional" outer layer (like waxed polycotton etc.), light warm and packable down jacket, dexterous inner gloves and warm mittens to go over them, snow googles, down shoes for when in the tent, a light snow shovel, a multi-fuel stove burner and pots, a good thermo flask or two
And the list goes on. Winter outing can be a black hole for your money if you want it to. Of course you can save money on a lot of these points like I did, by borrowing and using what you already have. I carried two heavy wool shirts, improvised insulation around my nalgene and used a fuck-huge synthetic sleeping bag last time I was on a multi-day winter trip in cold weather.
