So I have a 15-20 mi bike route that I do 3-4 days a week for fitness. I've been buying my clothes for it off Amazon, no-name Chinese brands.

Anyone else here have a good suggestion for where to buy /out/door gear for /fa/t people? Most outdoor companies won't accommodate you if you are over say 225 lbs really, and I'm at 300.

I guess I was looking more for companies that sell layering pieces. I have shoe covers, a high vis balaclava, winter gloves, a fleece jacket, a windproof over-jacket, and fleece pants but some of the items could use to be a bit thicker and warmer for subfreezing temps but it is very hard to find. I'm typically a 3-5xl in gook sizing, and a 2xl in friendly 'Merican vanity sizing.

wim hof breathing if its mad chilly, layer the hell up. buy some long johns. honestly the good part is that if you keep up a good regiment in 2-3 months you should fit into an XL patagonia or something. godspeed anon i know you can do it.

I've been doing this about 6 months now and haven't lost any weight. I'm much fitter and more muscular now tho, so I'll take what I can get. Hoodies are not windproof and are kinda thicc for biking. I was looking more for like windproof fleecy stuff with inner layer fleece and outer layer windproof.

I was thinking maybe there's a company that sells plus size outdoor gear, seems like an unfilled niche in the market.

I don't need Patagonia, I'm not paying for the brand and their sizing is smallish anyways, but I don't want like cheap generic hoodies either.

check out Performance Bike Shop (online shopping and many storefront locations throughout the US). They are always having sales, the house brand of clothing is good quality and fairly priced, and they have more traditional US sizing with XXL options

I did my first hike with a proper peak, albeit only 1200 ft, last month. Felt good.

For biking, all you are going to need is Under Armour/generic UA, and maybe a regular to have on when you set off.
It'll keep you warm enough so long as you're moving

can't you just rely on the fat to insulate you?

Hoodies should be fine though. I'm good with a basic hoodie down to around 25 degrees. If you're still cold, it means you're not pedaling hard enough.
