Any firefighters here?

I've always wondered why firefighters allow these fires to get out of hand and burn so much acres of land.... why not use a damn mantis wheel machine and cut the fire off... instead they use pick axes and do it by hand'???? literally could do it 1000x faster and contain fires so easily by using mantis machine.....instead they waste time doing it by hand
