I've been there twice, one week each time. It's quite an experience. Don't have pics on this computer, this is a stock photo. The Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone is beautiful, especially the lower falls (pic related). Spend a day on the canyon, a day at Old Faithful and the geyser walks, a day at the terraces and Fort Yellowstone, and a day fishing either on the lake or in the nearby streams. Flies in the streams, gold or silver rooster tails in the lake. When you see Old Faithful, watch it erupt from the balcony of the Old Faithful Inn with your favorite drink in hand listening to the piano. It's even better if you can do so holding your significant other's hand. And eat at the same inn. It's a cool building that you'll want to tour and the food is great.
There are lots of falls and cascades that are very lovely. Kepler Cascades was a favorite of mine. Morning Glory pool is definitely worth the walk. There isn't a trail that will fail to reward you for hiking it. It's beautiful everywhere. I can't remember the name of the thing, but there's a lake that's a really big hot pool that has a small geyser going off in the middle of it all the time. If the wind's right and you can see to it, you'll see profound blue water with the geyser spouting 5 or 10 feet high. It's great.
Plan carefully before you go. It'd take more than a week to see everything worth seeing and you'll have to pick and choose.
Most importantly, NO MOLESTE LOS ANIMALES! Things like buffalo, elk, moose, and bears kill people with some regularity up there. Don't be a dumb fuck and get yourself stomped into marmalade.
