>>140928>uneducatedits mostly this I guess. Not that I blame people too much, you've got to know the science and the broader spectrum which isn't always obvious. Also I have no problem with Germany banning monsanto foods either, the sad thing is just that it is for the wrong reasons.
I went to apply at an organic produce store that has a nice vibe and is close by a while back. I checked their facebook page and the owner had been posting heaps of anti-gmo things related to mice with cancers and etc. Followed his source to his rant which went to a blog. Their sitation was another blog, and that citation was an unpublished study with 100 mice in 10 groups. one group was the control, all the rest were varying levels and combinations of GM-foodstuffs. One of the worst cases of statistical fishing that I've actually come across myself. If you read it, or a second hand account, the result might seem scary and like GMO is horrible. The ignorance and arrogance of the blogs and shop owner in all their posts made me mad and I didnt apply. (still jobless, lel)
I feel bad that instead of people being aware of the real problems its a bickering he said she said of whether the food is "bad".
After reading this post I think I've had enough /out/ for one day and should go2bed haha.
