Mostly in the Lakes and Snowdonia.

Normally camping stuff. But I use a shelter more suited to windy exposed conditions as camping up in the hills doesn't offer you much cover. I also dress for wet, cold conditions as 90% of the time you're going to get wet.

Usually Snowdonia but Highlands when I get a chance. I want to live up there but don’t know it will ever be feasible for work. Goddamn it’s so beautiful, and - touch wood - hasn’t become a meme travel destination like Iceland and parts of Norway. Snowdonia’s going that way though.

I still haven't made it to Scotland, I'm dying to try the Cape Earth Trail though. But Scotland has always seemed just so far away, which is weird cos I wouldn't bat an eyelid at getting on the plane to head to Spain!

It's an MLD solomid. I have a trekkertent stealth and one of their cuben flat tarps. They make good gear.

I am an itinerant trespasser. It is the right of every natural born Briton to walk where he pleases. I almost never actually see the landowner, I just walk down anything that looks like a path and camp quietly and out of sight. After 5 years I have spoken to landowners a total of 6 times and only one has ever told me to get off his land.

Peak district and lake district mostly.

Also have alot of canel paths, smaller nature researves and other AONB relatively close.

Boots, dog, wet/warm kit and food.

Only day sessions because fuck sleeping in a tent in some piss soaked bog, savages.

I'm looking at some snow courses run by PYB, they require you to do their welsh course before their scotland course, but I am going to see if I can do them one after the other!

are bogs/moors naturally occurring habitats?
if we were to stop grazing and going on them would they turn into forests?
I dont know off any other northern hemisphere country that has something similar to say exmoor.

Honestly unless you need to practice particular technical skills like rope work or are going for a qualification I don’t see the point in those courses for most people. Get an axe and crampons and just build up from corbetts to munros. Find a safe slope and practice arresting.
