Sup /out/casts. Looking for a reasonably priced, decent-tier 2 person tent. I'm leaning towards purchasing this tent (ALPS mystique 2) which can be had for around $150. Pic is the tent with the rain fly on.

Anyone have this tent?

I love fast-fly set up. I've got an REI Half Dome 2 Plus that works great for that. The 2 Plus is also one of the few 2 person backpacking tents I've found that's legitimately comfortable for two people. That couple extra inches of floor space makes a world of difference even if it is a little heavier.

Hammocks are for fat people and cripples. Able bodied males can make themselves comfortable anywhere, especially if they have a tent, sleeping bag and a small camping mat. That's more than anyone needs

anywhere from low 20s to 30s, depending, but where I enjoy camping it can get down to -2 or -3F, more often it gets in the single digits and teens.

So pretty fucking cold. I usually avoid the higher altitude camp sites since I don't have the right gear, really. Also, if it makes the difference, I'd prefer a one man tent.

I've used my Cabela's Alaskan Guide a couple of time when deer hunting in Michigan in Nov.
(one time during a pretty serious early season blizzard) and was more than satisfied, though
the 4-man will run you $350.
