>>1429125>>1429226Lifelong Shitcago anon here. Chicago isn't completely devoid of /out/, but it is certainly sparse. I personally plan on leaving asap, but here are some things I enjoy doing:
The Cook County forest preserves are pretty nice to walk in and some have fishing and RC planes.
State and national parks such as Starved Rock and Midewin Grasslands are reasonably close and are fantastic for a weekend trips.
Fishing and canoeing in the Des Plaines River and IL River. Lake Michigan is good north of the city, the beaches within the city are very polluted and crowded.
Chicago has the botanical garden and zoo. There are also plenty of urbex spots in the city and outside of the city.
Wisconsin is a great escape too ;) check out Door County and the Dells.
