- You coudln't even have it out legally if someone broke into your house in the middle of the night because it is meant to be in a locked safe 24/7 when not at the range/hunting (kek, good luck having a hunting permit if you live in the city or 'burbs), and your ammo needs to be in a seperate locked container, so you would be dead from the intruder before you could access your rifle, and if you were able to access your rifle, then your ammo, then have time to load your gun, then have time to aim it, and then have time to shout out your obligatory warning to stop, and you still shot the guy then you would be the one to do a life sentence because not KEKOLD judge in AUS would ever believe you had your gun stored correctly and legally, so essentially your 'self-defense' argument gets thrown out and becomes pre-meditated homicide because why else would you have had such easy access to your firearm?????????
